Installing software without unneeded dependencies

Bodhi Linux network fix

Some times on Bodhi Linux network applet stops working, in most cases that happens after suspension. If you want to fix it, simply type in the terminal:
sudo killall nm-applet
sudo service network-manager stop
sudo rm /var/lib/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.state
sudo service network-manager start
sudo nohup nm-applet -9

Bodhi Linux: Configuring VirtualBox

Virtual-box is a very good tool, which also is free. You can install it from Synaptic or from official website download .deb file. You can use to install Linux or Windows virtually, by that I mean you can install it in to your computer without even changing your GRUB or restarting system. It will run just like simple program windows, which will have all OS. It does not matter why you use it: for testing purpose before installing into real machine, testing some random software, installing Windows just for some software you need, because maybe you do not like Wine. Okey let’s continue, let’s say you have already installed it from synaptic or .deb files, program it self runs, but when you start your virtual OS, you get an error.

Bodhi Linux: Ecomorph a.k.a compiz

It has some time passed since I have found all software I needed in Bodhi, but will it ever by enough?..
I guess you have tried other distribution, which had included compiz fuzion, yes that thing which eat some resurces, but keeps you happy when you just simply click minimize windows and see your windows burning, click close and your windows explodes, yes good times. And what if I say that you can have this also in Bodhi? Already interested?
